Shop Glorious Day is bringing to life a new kind of dynamic creative collective & shopping experience: curators, designers, artisans, makers and partner suppliers bringing you a diverse wealth of fascinating beauty and treasure: furnishing, art, adornment, fashion, finds and more, from both near and far.
Gathering together exceptional artisan, craftsman, antique, vintage, gently-loved and upcycled offerings, we’re creating fresh, captivating, engaging, “old made new,” re-mixed shopping experiences, equipping you to design your own wonderful spaces and bring more enlivening aesthetics and rich inspiration (along with a measure of good fun!) into all the places you gather, dwell, work and call home.
The offerings will be refreshed continuously - renewed each day, and ever-changing,
a distinctive Shop Glorious Day vibe always, but each location with uniquely mixed and expressed collections
from the small and simple, to elegant and grand,
from the classic and formal to whimsical and playful,
from modest to magnificent, from original to reproductions,
from manufactured to one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted and artisan pieces,
from curiosities to rare, exquisite antiques,
treasure of all kinds: antiquities to new, from near and far…
The gallery and images below provide a peek into some of the kinds of finds we’ve discovered and are readying to bring you - a microcosmic mix of the wonderfully enlivening, diverse and richly-textured Brimfield, Round Top and other beloved markets, available year-round. We’re bringing the vast wealth of resources back “home” into our community space, making it all more visible and accessible in real, inspiring, playful, creative environments, not just fleeting, transient pop-ups, also bringing to the surface all that’s hidden like needles-in-endless-haystacks of online markets, sitting in storage or waiting for discovery, sometimes even trying very hard to be found.
Time to rediscover eachother, all the hidden wealth right in our midst, and all our collective, captivating joys and loves…
Our Shop Glorious Day flagship showcase/concept projects are readying to get under way, with a vast landscape of opportunity and wealth of resources to be surfaced and creativity to be re-cultivated - opening in a cluster of locations on the near horizon, with countless more to prepare and unleash!
Growing up here in Western Mass, the Brimfield Antique Fair & Flea Market my “home” field for decades, my focus has been close by, and captivated with Holyoke, MA, in the Creative/Arts/Greening Industry & Innovation District of this Gateway City situated right in the heart of the Pioneer Valley, with all the potential for a much more significant showcase/hub to house a whole new kind of creative community market space. With a wonderfully-gifted team of pioneering designers/curators/artisans/suppliers and an available supply that is already more than we can even contain, all sure to awaken and inspire, I’m sitting on the edge of my seat… seriously can’t wait to bring it all to life!
I’m seeing the seeding of an initial cluster Shop Glorious Day flagship spaces in a myriad of places and market forms - unique manifestations, adapted and enhanced to reflect and radiate the richness of the vibrant creative culture of each community. What we’re calling “Shop” is more a micro global-local (glocal) community and exchange, in which we discover, support, enjoy and amplify eachother, growing and expanding together and creating wonderful places we’ll all love, filled to the brim with all we enjoy!
